“Beauty of style and harmony and grace and good rhythm depend on simplicity.” – Plato
It’s this philosophy of keeping things simple that makes the music produced by Cape Town band Stone Jets, fresh and unique, but also relatable. Their latest animated music video ‘Something Good’ reflects this perfectly as well with its quirky, simplistic animation.

The animated video was done by talented film student, Leah Blem.
The band, with Manfred Klose on guitars and Given Nkanyane on vocals and bass and Johan Pretorius on drums, describe their music as “Afro pop rock”, but, as is the case with many musicians, their sound has evolved as they have.
On the inspiration for this music video, frontman Given explains, “The war between the mind and heart inspires will. The will to choose a side and find peace. To call it a battle would be insane, it is just something good”.
‘Something Good’ can currently be heard playing on various national and local stations including Radio Sonder Grense, Groot FM, Radio Laeveld, SFM Streek, Kosmos Stereo, Maties FM, Kovsie FM, and UCT radio among others.
Stone Jets are jet-setting on a trajectory to becoming one of South Africa’s most beloved acts. In the meantime fans can get ready to experience their Cape Town EP launch next month.
More details on this to be released soon.
