After a year of travelling the globe and working with a bunch of the hottest producers along the way, London songstress ANGEL announces her new sound with the release of the epic pop-dance track ‘Habibi’.
The uplifting single is produced by the much in demand UK producer Rymez, famed for his work with Wiley on the No. 1 smash ‘Heatwave’ and the No. 3 hit ‘Can You Hear Me Ft. Skepta & JME’. Rymez other credits include James Arthur, Krept & Konan and he was the producer of the platinum hit ‘Hurtin’ by Steff Lon-don feat French Montana.
Many of Angel’s musical influences have found their way onto the production, there’s nods to Dubai in the lyrics and middle-eastern melodies and hooks throughout the track. These are underpinned by South Asian rhythms and even Drum N Bass flavoured beats, which together make for an eclectic but concise piece of EDM/Pop.
A remix package also follows the release, which includes a deep house remix from Khool C11ty, who recently saw their track ‘In Ma head’ go viral on Instagram plus further remixes from Shayal who delivers a stripped down approach with flashes of late night trap.
The release also includes a remix by Ryuken which was started in 2016 by Aaron Doyle and Jeff Cox who have had releases on Juicy Music/Armada, Skint/BMG, New State, Blanco y Negro, Cheap Thrills, Sleazy G plus and many more. Their music has been supported by David Guetta, Afrojack, Martin Solveig, Don Diablo, Fedde Le Grand, Bingo Players, Lost Frequencies, Danny Howard, Justin Wilkes, Mistajam, Majestic, Billy Da Kid, BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 1 Xtra, Capital FM, Capital Xtra and Kiss FM.
