WME Talks Exclusively to PAAB:
Can you tell us about the inspiration behind your debut single, “Rose of Venus”?
“Rose of Venus” is inspired by the sacred geometry of a rosebud, believed to possess healing properties. We often overlook how much sacred geometry surrounds us in nature, present in both animals and plants. The sacred geometry known as the Rose of Venus, or Venus Pentagram, illustrates the eight-year cyclical movement of the planets Venus and Earth, whose orbits trace a pattern resembling a rose. Throughout this celestial dance, Venus and Earth alternate between being close and distant, a symbol I find deeply meaningful in the context of love stories of many people – including my own. When I wrote “Rose of Venus,” I was in a relationship marked by alternating phases of closeness and distance, which made it challenging to find stability. This mirrored the dynamic between the two planets and felt emblematic of my personal experience with love. I sought understanding of my relationship and healing through music, and this is what I hope the song will offer to others – a deeper insight into their own love stories and the ability to find healing, even through the pain.
What was the collaborative process like working with an international team of producers from the US and Europe?
I had so much fun creating “Rose of Venus,” and now I’m excited to be working on new songs as well. Since moving away from Warsaw nearly 15 years ago, I’ve lived in a vibrant international environment, connecting with people and artists from all over the world. Living in London offers the unique advantage that you don’t always have to travel far – sometimes the whole World comes to you. This was exactly the case with “Rose of Venus.” Both Jamie Stirling and Robert Wow, who collaborated with me on the song, happened to be in London for a few months, making the entire creative process smooth, enjoyable, and incredibly fun!
How do you balance blending spirituality with pop music to create a sound that resonates with a wide audience?
Balancing spirituality with pop music to create a sound that resonates with a wide audience requires finding common ground between deep, meaningful themes and accessible, catchy elements. Spirituality can be a powerful source of inspiration and wisdom, but it’s important to translate those ideas into lyrics and melodies that are relatable and emotionally engaging. To achieve this balance, I focus on universal themes like love, connection, healing or self-worth – concepts everyone can relate to, regardless of their spiritual beliefs. Those are concepts which are also close to my heart as I believe it is paramount to create music that is personal and true to yourself. While the underlying message may have spiritual depth, the music itself is crafted to make it easy to connect with and enjoy. By blending thoughtful, introspective lyrics with modern production and pop sensibilities, I aim to create music that speaks to both the heart and the spirit, offering something meaningful while remaining approachable and uplifting for a wide audience.
You describe your music as rich in symbolism and energy. How do you infuse these elements into your songwriting?
I infuse symbolism and energy into my songwriting by drawing on both personal experiences and the natural world as sources of inspiration. Symbolism allows me to layer deeper meanings into my lyrics, while energy helps shape the emotional atmosphere of each song. I often explore concepts from nature, mythology, astrology, alchemy, or sacred geometry—ideas that carry rich symbolic meaning. These symbols can represent different aspects of life, such as cycles, transformation, or emotional states, and I weave them into the narrative of the song. For example, in “Rose of Venus,” the celestial dance of Venus and Earth serves as a metaphor for the ebb and flow of relationships. In terms of energy, I focus on creating an emotional journey for the listener. Whether it’s a sense of calm and reflection, or a surge of intensity, I use the tempo, melodies and catchy rhythms to match the emotional depth of the lyrics. This creates a resonance between the message and the music, so that listeners can not only hear the symbolism but also feel the energy behind the song. Ultimately, the goal is to create a soundscape where meaning and emotion work together, offering listeners a memorable experience.
What role does astrology play in your creative process, and how does it shape the narrative of your music?
Astrology is definitely one of the most significant sources in my creative process, serving as both a framework for understanding the human experience and inspiration for storytelling in my music. It shapes the narrative of my songs by providing archetypes, cycles, and emotional themes that resonate on a Universal level. Astrological elements, like the planets and their movements, phases of the moon, and zodiac signs, offer rich metaphors that I incorporate into my lyrics and themes. For example, the influence of Venus, the planet of love, or the transformative energy of Saturn, can become symbolic for the emotional dynamics in relationships or personal growth. These astrological movements inspire me to explore the deeper layers of our inner worlds—our desires, fears, and transformations—while grounding those themes in something tangible and relatable. Astrology also helps me tap into timing and moods. I may write during a certain lunar phase or planetary transit to align with its specific energy, allowing me to channel that into the music. For instance, a full moon might inspire a song about completion or revelation, while a retrograde could prompt reflection and introspection. Astrology helps me frame my music in a way that connects with listeners on a deeper, almost subconscious level, tapping into Universal energies that we all experience in some way. It allows me to create narratives that feel both personal and cosmic, guiding listeners through emotional landscapes that reflect the rhythms of the universe.
